artical research

the muppets;

the muppets uses a summery as its introduction they use it in a comical style thisis important because it makes the audience want too kepp reading so they dont loose there readers straight away and they read the whole artical

muse;

the arctical is wrote in first person this makes the reader want to find out what the writer is talking about and wether or not the the band are good or not but tjis isnt the most affective way to grab the audiences atteniton

you me at 6;

this uses evidence from other  sources to show stuff about the band

Thursday 2 February 2012

in this photo it is a medium close up this would be used on the contents page his eyes are slightly below the rule of thirds and he is looking down this would make the reader want to read more to find out about him it is a mid angle shot so you can see most of him
in this picture it shows him frow 4 angles showin this from pain to stress to love it is in black and white so that you can see his pain and that he is in love this is a very effective shot most of the 4 images are in close up styles

Additionally candidates must produce a DTP mock-up of the layout of the contents page to demonstrate their grasp of the program.

Flat Plans

These are the flat plans for the magazine cover and contents page we are going to make for the print prelim task.

On the front cover:

i have used the colour red for the masthead because it is bright and it stands out. i have then used the blue and yellow because they are both bright colours so will grab the readers attention.

i have used the page layout as i have because i have used the main image to fill a lot of front cover because a image will grab the attention of readers. then on the sell lines i have used in proportion of the size of the story inside. i have put the mast head at the top because that is the first part of the magazine the reader will see.

The sell lines are about things that students will want to read about and that will also make them want to read the magazine.

i am going to put the image in medium close up so that it will be seen i will also make the image relevant to the theme of the magazine.

i have also put a skyline on the magazine also to grab the readers attention

On the contents page:

i have put the magazines masthead at the top because it is unique to the magazine.

i have used the same colour scheme as the front cover sell lines so that it is the same as throughout the magazine

i have also put another image on the contents page which will also be relevant

Inspirational Texts

I like the layout because it has
A clear masthead
A skyline
A main image
And sell lines
The date and a barcode.

This makes the magazine unique and easy to recognise and has a colour scheme. the masthead is part covered but you can still tell what magazine it is because it is unique. there is the main story witch takes up the most space but then there is other stories that get less space.

The NME layout has
A masthead
Many sell lines
A medium close-up image
Columns
The date and a barcode

The masthead is unique and so it stands and and the sell lines and images make it stand out it also has a very clear colour scheme. the image is behind the text. the sell line are in size proportion to the amount of space the story will get in the magazine.

The NME contents page has a lot images for each story they are in proportion for the amount of coverage the story will get inside. there is quotes from the stories to make you want to read them is you are just looking at the contents in the shop. there is a clear header and is almost it columns
